I know people who have had felonies drug charges and more they have no problem getting a truck driving job. why do employers prefer people who have been in that kind of trouble to ones who havent?

I have a felony, I have also been looking for a job for a few months now. I'm runing into the opposit. Every company I have applied for says no felonies or need 3 yrs experience. I have one yr experience. A perfect driving record and still nothing. So if you are working and feeding your family be happy, because there are those of us that are living on subsidized incomes and all we want to do is work. and by the way my felony was for drugs.
