I got fired from Schneider for falsifying my logbooks. It's funny because it was Schneider (through its Training Engineer) who taught me how to cut corners in my logbook. I just got too daring and took it a few steps further, like dropping trips.

It took 1.75 years for somebody to say something. When they brought me in for counseling, it turned out to be a firing. The fleet manager saw one viewpoint. He didn't consider the fact that I never had an accident or moving violations. And I've done my job so well that I've gotten all my bonuses. I deserved a written warning. I didn't deserve to get fired.

Do you guys think I might have a problem getting hired due to falsification of logs? (Yes, I will commit to turning in a new leaf.)

What did Schneider put on your DAC? You need to know that information. You also need to find out what kind of company reference they are giving other companies. The best way to find out that information is to apply to a lot of companies. The best way to do that is put your application on everytruckjob.com. If you have questions call Connie@866-383-7956.

I did put my application on everytruckjob, and I'm getting a lot of offers, even to trucking companies I didn't think I sent an application to. So, I gather nothing negative is on my DAC. I didn't have a single accident with them, no tickets (except an overweight ticket). I busted my tail for Schneider. I deserved a written warning, not a firing.

I can honestly say that I have not heard of a driver not being hired because he falsified his logs at another co. Heck I left salinas, ca. and 2 1/2 days later got d.o.t.ed in harrisburg pa. and did'nt have a log book. The fine was only $125.00 and I never heard another thing about it. It never appeared on anything so I would not worry, just accept what you figure is the best job and we'll see you on the road soon.

Would a list of companies that MAY be able to hire help? And do you have any experience? I'm working on a new idea and need some tester for JobSpider - interested?

Graduate of a truck driving school looking for a job. Have applied to about 40 different companies and nothing. Clean driving record no felonies, no duis, last place I worked I was there 14+ years they closed down. No experience driving. Any suggestions? Yes I have registered for the site and submitted applications through here. I live in a small town in southeast Oregon.
Thanks
